Arming for the Cypra Incident.......Looted Wagon

Hi All

Bluddtoof here with another update on my work for Waaagghhhh! Bluddtoof and our narrative campaign; "The Cypra Incident; Birth of The Beast of Cypra"
This time it's a shiny new Looted Wagon....

This is the fourth one I've built over the 20 years since I started this army, and definitely my favourite so far. It's based on a leman russ chassis which I widened and reversed the track sections. Then it was a simple matter of taking weapons from my bits box, the kilkannon was a spare from a battle wagon kit, the zap gun is actually a Forge world big zzappa but I like the oversized nature. The rokkits are old white metal from the depths of a 30 year old bits box, I frankly have no idea, please let me know if you recognise em.

Here's a few more angles...

I love this model and I had a blast painting it, I applied a lot of sponge weathering and a combination of blended washes and weathering powders to try for a really grubby look. After the near catastrophe of the Deffkoptas I really reined in the colour palette for this and focused on a very red look.
I also did this on the last model for the next campaign mission; a wazbommblastajet which will be the subject of my next post.

Hope you like this, as ever C & C welcome.

Lords a Reaping 17 : Homemade Relic Spartan WIP

Seasons Greetings

"Lets do LoW" we all said, "Sounds good" I said ....
Then went and looked throught the hobby pile and realised I don't actually own any .... Doh.

With it being so close to the Emperors Birthday going out and buying resin would probably be frowned on, however I happened to have a Land Raider hangin around in a state of disrepair just longin for the Iron Priests attentions :)

As its a Relic the plan is to make it more like the LR 2B with enclosed sponsons, the chassis itself is 25mm longer and 10mm wider so should look suitably bigger then a Raider

A long way to go :)
More to come from everyone
Cheers

Khemri Blood Bowl Team - Showcase

Evening All

Doc here with a showcase of my completed converted Tomb Kings / Khemri team.  They are all converted from the old GW range now out of production.  I will say this was a fun little project and I decided to complete a full 16 player roster (ever hopeful that I might get to that number).

So the rest of the post is going to be very picture heavy.....

Full team shot including converted turn, re roll and score markers

In action against skaven in my first game a 3-0 loss (eek) I will say they are a hard team to play at first

Ok so close ups

All my Lineman

Tomb Guard (yes I can start with 4 strength 5 blockers!)

Blitz Ra's (why Ra's its a throwback to how they used to be named in a previous version of the game)

Thro Ra's (one using the human ball and one the orc ball)

My converted counters (seemed easy to do using the bitz box)

So what do you reckon of the team comments are always welcome the base names have caused a split opinion amongst the code40k players what do you reckon needed or not?

Cheers All

DOC out......

Blood Bowl Fever!

It seems the Blood Bowl bug has hit the Code40K crew pretty hard, with everybody getting on board and throwing paint onto teams!
What's even more cool is that there seems to be a pretty good spread of teams, everybody settling on something different to one another - should be a solid opening season!

I've always been rather partial to the Dark Elves style of play, but with a distinct lack of Elves from GW currently my mind was running amok with ideas. Having done a large Dark Eldar commission previously and having a friend run Dark Eldar in 40K, I Knew the perfect place to start.

A little math and I worked out I could get a solid starting line up from a box of Wyches, a box of Kabalite Warriors and an AOS Assassin model.

I mixed and matched the boxs, Wych legs on Warrior bodies and vice versa and managed to come up with 6 Line Men, 2 Runners, 2 Witchs, 4 Blitzersand an Assassin - not bad at all!

I also knocked up a couple of markers from the shock prows of Ravagers.

The colour scheme was easy to settle on, I'd been looking for an excuse (honestly, any excuse would have done!) to play with the FW clear Purple I'd tried on the flier base for the Knight Acheron an these where the perfect chance.

So now I'm currently working my way through painting the team up compete so I'll leave you with a few shots showing my current progress

I'll be sure to do a full team shot once everything's complete 🤓

Until then, thanks for reading and let me know what you think!

Thanks
