Dreadtober week 1 progress

 Hi All,

I've had a good first week at Dreadtober and have finished the Reaver Titan:

Many pictures are on my instagram here:

I am really pleased how its turned out with the pre shade working very well on the armour and managing to pull off the stripes with a chipping effect as well.  The base suits and I must admit I like the versatile terrain names it really suits AT models.

I have also progressed my second project the Leviathan Dreadnought its current status is:

You might wander why a space wolf dreadnought is rusty brown well this is the base coat which has been varnish sealed as this will be what you see when the top coats are chipped back to reveal damage and rusting.  Again solid start and looking forward to getting more done.

Keep going folks we need something positive to focus on in these crazy times.

Cheers

Dataslates for Eradicators and Cryptothralls from the New Indomitus 9th Edition Launch Box

Hi All,

Was watching the twitch stream today and they talked through two of new units in the box eradicators and cryptothralls. Omg eradicators look crazy good 24" melta which shoots twice! Alongside this the necron murder buckets look very tasty when near a cryptek!

What are your thoughts on these two new units?

Ork Deff Dreads

Hi All

Bluddtoof here with a showcase of my latest Orky reinforcements, these 3 dreads complete my 1000pt list for an upcoming doubles tournament, I'm pairing with Innermech who's bringing a classic speed freaks list, so I'll be supplying the ard stuff!

The list is a Big Mek w SAG, a small unit of grots , Gorkanaut, 3 dreads and 6 kanz

The 3 dreads are conversions of the old metal models with a hefty application of bits box.
And of course they'll also come in handy for future missions in our narrative campaign, The Cypra Incident.
Here's a bunch of pics...

Hope you like em, C & C welcome as ever.

Arming for The Cypra Incident........ Wazbom Blastajet and Scenery

Hi All

Bluddtoof here with the next update on my progress towards our next mission in "The Cypra Incident"; our narrative campaign. This time its a showcase of my new Wazbom Blastajet.

This completes my army for the next mission; "Airfield Assault" which will see Docs 19th Dicers attempt to destroy the Orks air capability in a 2 pronged attack on the greenskins only airfield in the region. More on the the mission brief in my next post though, for now here's a load more shots of the Blastajet working through the process....

I loved painting this model, I tried some new tricks which I'd learnt from Doc in our last scenery building session. I base sprayed the model black then masked off the pilot and sprayed leadbelcher, this was then shaded with blended washes of Reikland, Seraphim and Agrax. Once dry matte varnish overall then I masked everything I wanted to stay metallic and used hairspray followed by all over Mephiston red spray. This was then weathered with a toothbrush and once I'd got the wear I wanted a good coat of varnish to fix it all. Then it was the usual detailing with patchwork primary colours and a load of heavy weathering with sponge and powders.
It's come out nice and grubby and red, so well happy.

And here's the finished scenery we built and painted for the mission. Doc and I put most of the work in with airbrushes in one big session and I've finished them off with some weathering and the grass tufts.

As ever C & C is welcome, keep an eye out for posts on the next mission brief and a battle report once the Orks have krumped dem umies.......
