Hi All
Not posted in a while due to a very long and well needed holiday!
Back now and getting back into a quite busy painting schedule for the coming year; myself and Doc are planning a narrative campaign for 2016, this will tell the tale of the Imperial response to the rise of Waaagh! Bluddtoof and is an ideal excuse for me to paint up some long awaited additions to my Orks. We'll post much more regarding this over the coming year, including stories and detailed bat reps and painting posts, stay tuned....
This post is to show the most recent addition to my Space Ork force; a Big Mek in Mega Armour with Tellyport Blasta. I painted this for a 4000pt game we played this weekend just gone; Me and Luko Dakka as Orks against Doc and Inner Mech as Wolves and DA. A good game; we played the old meat grinder mission from a couple of editions ago, well a version of it anyway. Alas the orks couldn't wipe out the beakies before time ran out so we slunk off to lick our wounds. We'll be back though!!!
So here's a few pics of the new Mek.....
Hope you like, as usual c and c most welcome.
Keep watching over the next few weeks and months as I paint up some new bits and bobs for my Orks to use in the campaign.

Da Bosses Shiny New Ride
Hey All
Yippee! I've finished all the painting for my Ork army for Worcester War II this weekend.
Boss Bluddtoof has a shiny new ride, a big mean warbike, the lovely Forgeworld one. It's a really nice model and I'm well pleased with the finished look, I've gone a bit brighter on the red and he's got more pure white teef than usual cos I want him to really stand out on the table, I may go back at a later date to add some weathering and bring more in line with the rest of the army.
The red's been a little tricky since the release of the newest paint range from GW, as I started painting my Orks back in '98 or '99 and the colours have changed markedly since then, but hey who ever said Orks should be ooniform?
Anyway I look forward to seeing you all and your armies at WWII on Saturday if you're going.
In the meantime here's a few piccies of the new Bluddtoof.........
That's it for now,

Four Little Red Tanks (and their Bigger Brother!)
Hey Everyone,
I've been busy getting my Orks ready for Worcester War 2 over the last few weeks, not much left to do now. The most recent additions to my Space Orks are a small sqwodrun of Grot Tanks and a Grot Mega Tank.
Here's a few pics......
Just a new warboss to finish off now and a minor conversion on a kan. See you all at the weekend!

Dreadful December, Space Ork Mega Dread, The Paintjob..............Part 4
Hi All
Welcome to part 4 of my Ork Mega Dread walk through, this will show the finish to the paintjob and the basing.
So here's piccies;
With the white plates, checks and teef base-coated;
Next are the saw tooth patterns which are the motif for Waaghh! Bluddtoof and wash the white bits I want to look dirty.Then I paint all the remaining gubbinz in a clean silver to represent the few new bitz most recently added and not yet covered in dirt, blood or other indeterminate greenskin fluids!
The final step is to paint the chipped paint effect, this is the technique I adopted nearly 15 years ago when I started my Space Ork army and though I could produce a better weathering effect now I'm loath to change the look of this army and I certainly have no intention of going back over the 10k points worth of models already painted to standardise to a new look! So I'm sticking with it. Future projects will see newer and better techniques.
The model with all bar the base done;
And finally with the base complete;
That's it finished, I hope you enjoyed it, I certainly did! It's a fantastic model, one of FW's best I think. Really looking forward to seeing it on the table as part of my Dredd Mob.
Stay tuned all through December for more Dreads from the Code 40k, my next post will be my long awaited Contemptor Pattern Dreadnought for my Thunderbolts Space Marines.

Dreadful December, Space Ork Mega Dread, The Paintjob..............Part 3
Hi All
Welcome to part 3, the paintjob for my Mega Dread. First off I need to point out that this is a BIG model with lots of detail and gubbinz, so my usual paint scheme for my Orks took a while. If you've read any of my older Ork posts you'll know that I favour a patchwork, multi coloured scheme with a red,white and black saw tooth motif figuring strongly throughout and with "red paint jobz" being quite common too.
Considering the very wide palette I use they still seem to come out nice and I particularly like them on the board from 6' away, nice and bright and in your face, with the red really standing out. Anyway enough rambling here's a series of piccies running through the process.
2 points of note; firstly I removed the 3rd big shoota due to data sheet changes for 6th ed and secondly I decided to base the model before painting to give me something solid to hold onto, the base is a GW flyer base.
The metallic plates washed with a variety of brown washes;
As an interesting aside you can see in the background a few of my new builds, all of which will be making an appearance at Worcester War II next year. Bwahahahahahahahaha! I love Ork toys!
With the red plates done;
With the multi-coloured patchwork of plates done and washed, this uses something like a dozen different base colours and 6 or 7 different washes;
The next step is to paint the white plates, I keep these to a minimum as they can easily take over the model if you use too many. Some get a dirty wash, others are kept nice and clean but painted roughly to give streaks in the finish.
I'll show that and more in Part 4 as this post is getting quite long now.
More in a couple of days.......
