Lords a Reaping 17 - Guilliman and FW Avatar

Ho  Ho Ho all, and Merry Christmas.

I have not posted on here in quite a while, mainly due to small people, house building work and dogs taking up so much of my time.

But as this is a special time of year I thought I needed to pull my socks up make an effort to get a post done.

Unfortunately, the only painting I have been doing recently is with a few litres of Dulux, so I made a call to my brother…….

First up is the top man of the Space Marines - Guilliman!

He is currently staying with me to lead my primaris contingent in to battle. Pics of these in the new year.

Next up is another lord of war. This is the FW avatar that he has painted a Christmas present to my dad.

Finally, here is a pic of the 2 of them facing off

I will see if he has time to send me the details on how he painted them, and I will post them at a later date.

I am aiming for some more hobby time in the new year and will start with a post reviewing what I have been up to and my plans for 2018

Lords a Reaping 17; Questoris Knight Magaera..........Showcase

Hi All

So here's my finished entry into our Lords - a - Reaping December event.
My 2nd Imperial Knight; a Questoris Knight Magaera.
I've really enjoyed painting this one, even more so than the original Errant.
I've also tried a few new techniques; metallic shades using Vallejo Metallic Medium, OSL on the 3 guns (to varying degrees of success) and a variation on the snow weathering techniques I first tried on the Errant.
All in all I'm very pleased with the finish, I think the model looks good, particularly the posing and the metallic finish.

Lords a Reaping 17 Showcase Baneblade Super Heavy Tank The 19th Dicers!

Hi All,

Not really much in the way of WIP for my entry into Lords of Reaping more of a jump to the end and go tadah.....

Anyway here is my repainted (from a fair few years ago baneblade).  It is painted in my regiment colours of the 19th dicers who still teeter on the edge of being full blown renegade guard.  To the point where some of them daub out there aquilla's and favour the 8 point star.  Sounds heretical I hear you cry well maybe...

Anyway really enjoyed bringing this up a level to match my current force.  Hopefully now it will see action in the Cypra Incident.  In fact we have a whole mission planned around it later in the campaign.  Anyway enough babble SHOWCASE already.

There's still plenty to do to detail this build (rivets) but tis the Season to go on holiday so thought I'ld share before I went.
