Stormwolf Showcase - Preparation for Worcester War 4

Hi All,

So after committing to the armies of the Imperium team for Worcester War 4 I worked out some lists and realised that left me some stuff to paint.  As usual I am good at painting to deadlines and so have knocked out an additional terminator, new weapon options for my land speeder, a stormwolf and 5 necromunda gang members since Sunday!  All these models are speed painted but are designed to match a force the bulk of which was painted many years ago.  It seems little point in changing a scheme unless you plan to go back and re paint the lot.  Pictures I here you cry oh go on then...

Stormwolf: (No 1 tip and I should know better don't glue the canopy in with super glue!  It frosts up and looks terrible)

Additional Wolf Guard Terminator:

Necromunda Gangers:

You may notice my ganger's are a bit of a mix.  I have recently returned to the game after many years away and I don't have a full gang of the same models so instead I use a mixture of chaos cultist models, guard models and the odd necromunda model from back in the day.  When not in use for necromunda they go back into my cultists or renegade guard army.  Multi-Use models huzzah!

This is a solid 17 painting points haul here see the side bar for more details. As always constructive comments are most welcome.

Cheers

Imperial Knight Freeblade, some more WIP

Hi All

So with all the planning for WW4 done I find myself with some time on my hands; when I'm not building hen houses and pens or digging holes in the garden that is.
I've returned to work on my Imperial Knight Freeblade, not much left to do and I hope to bring him to WW4 for some post campaign friendly action. Both shoulder pads and the right arm still to go now.
Here's a few shots of the model so far...

I've fixed the now complete left arm in place, after much thought and experimenting with magnets, I found that magnetising the shoulder pads was just too much effort for the benefit of having removable arms. When it comes to transport I'm going to make some custom cases to fit each knight I make specifically. Also being pretty big and cumbersome I'd rather maintain their structural integrity on the table.
That's it for now, I'll be doing more on this in the next couple of weeks, stay tuned for more WIP and the final showcase.

Worcester War 4 - Fortification of The Code - Change of Plans

Morning All,

After feedback on the format and number of players finding availability for the chosen date difficult we have decided to change the format for Worcester War 4.

The Event:

The code40K team present our fourth event: Worcester War 4, “Fortification of the Code”. We have space for up to 24 players who will form two teams; Good and Evil, these teams will compete in 2 rounds of 7th ED 40k working in pairs or alone depending on numbers and to be determined on the day. You will be attempting to gain control of secret data packets hidden in an abandoned underground complex in order to provide your forces with an advantage in the final event in this story; “Assault on the Code” which will be held sometime in 2016.  This event follows on directly from the events played out during Worcester War 3; please note participation in WW3 is NOT required for entry into this event.

Worcester War 4 follows on directly from our last event, Worcester War 3, which saw a widespread conflict spread across the 5th planet of the Lentarum system; a backwater Imperial colony near The Maelstrom in the Ultima Segmentum.

The day saw 24 players fight for dominance and control of a psychic beacon which had sent a mysterious signal throughout known space. In the end the beacon was claimed by the forces of chaos in the form of a Nurgle Daemon force!

If you're interested in joining us, the event is on Saturday 6th June 2015 at Whittington Village Hall. Entry fee is £15 and includes lunch and refreshments through the day.

Please e-mail mrtweedy_77@yahoo.co.uk to check if places are available and sign up to take part.

The rules pack can be viewed here

The deadline for entry is Sunday 31st May 2015

Hope to see you there.

Worcester War 4; The Assault on The Code

Hi All

It's that time of the year again!
Time for The Code 40K Gaming event!

Now the war rages on and the forces of Good are ready for one final push!

Worcester War 4 will see the final assault on a heavily defended position, held by the forces of Evil!! by an alliance of Good forces.

We will be playing a single massive multi player game of 7th Ed 40K, over a large C shaped board made of 9 standard 6' tables joined end to end. You will fight either for Good or Evil over this defensive perimeter and then the game will culminate on a 2nd table representing the primary objective. Events on the perimeter will directly effect your chances on the final objective.

We have space for 30 players, if you're interested in joining us, the event is on Saturday 6th June 2015 at Whittington Village Hall. Entry fee is £15 and includes lunch and refreshments through the day.

Please e-mail mrtweedy_77@yahoo.co.uk to check if places are available and sign up to take part.
